The Material Handler manages all raw material needs of the Fabrication Department.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and track all inventory levels of raw materials in E2 software.
• Order material needed to meet job requirements.
• Issue materials needed for work orders.
• Track Red Tags that are sent to Fabrication and determine the reason and advise for correction.
• Enter purchase orders and print travelers when needed.
• Send reports of current raw material activities as required.

Required Skills:

• Ability to distinguish material types and gauges.
• Drive forklift to move material and stage orders.
• Unload trucks of large heavy loads in a safe manner.
• Learn and understand software needed to meet job requirements.

Desired Skills:

• Being open to and actively soliciting new ideas and opinions.
• Current driver’s license and the ability to drive truck to pick up metals when needed.
• Operate basic hand tools and some machinery when required.
