Production Material Handler

Material Handler

Production material handler will manage the organization of all materials staged for assembly line production of self-service kiosks. The individual’s primary objective is to ensure each assembly line has 100% of the materials required prior to the start of production.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure each assembly line has 100% of parts required prior to the start of production
  • Uses ERP system to understand material demand and availability
  • Uses WMS scanning tools to issue materials to each work order (warehouse management system)
  • Coordinate material flow with production, incoming quality, and warehouse teams
  • Verifies materials received from warehouse against documentation
  • Works closely with production leads to distribute materials to appropriate workstations [as needed]
  • Participates in regular inventory cycle counts
  • Processes non-conforming materials through QMS (quality management system)
  • Operates non-motorized equipment to move materials (pallet jack)
  • Ensures a safe, neat, clean, and orderly work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Accurate and detail-oriented
  • Problem solving and computer skills
  • Has a sense of urgency and acts quickly to resolve issues
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be a team player
  • Self-starter with a willingness to learn

Desired Skills:

  • 0-5 years of experience in material handling

Travel:

  • Less than 5% travel

Physical:

  • Must be able to stand 8 hours
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds
