Sales Engineer
KIOSK Information Systems is seeking a Sales Engineer to serve as a key technical partner throughout the sales process. The Sales Engineer partners closely with Sales and works cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other internal teams to develop self-service solutions. The ideal candidate combines a strong technical foundation with business acumen, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex opportunities simultaneously. The Sales Engineer must be able to clearly articulate technology and product offerings to customers through virtual and in-person meetings and identify and address technical and commercial requirements, risks, and challenges throughout all stages of the sales process.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Sales to identify, qualify, and develop new customer opportunities for standard and custom kiosk solutions.
- Lead technical discoveries with customers to understand business, functional, technical, environmental, and integration requirements.
- Develop Statements of Work (SOWs), technical requirements, assumptions, and engineering development estimates for custom projects.
- Develop and validate preliminary cost models, BOM assumptions, NRE estimates, and pricing inputs for standard and custom solutions.
- Review customer drawings, specifications, renderings, CAD models, and other technical documentation to support solution development and cost estimating.
- Collaborate with Engineering to validate technical feasibility, development requirements, project risks, and estimated engineering effort.
- Support general and technical inquiries from Sales Team.
- Research and evaluate new components and technologies that expand KIOSK's capabilities or address specific customer requirements.
- Utilize time management skills and multi-tasking capabilities.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or another related technical discipline; equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
- 3–5+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, technical sales, or another customer-facing technical role.
- Familiarity with Creo/ProE, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
- Must be able to learn new component technology, act as a self-starter, and manage many different priorities.
Desired Skills:
- Ability to communicate professionally through customer emails, proposals, RFP responses, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication, mechanical assemblies, or contract manufacturing.
- Experience with software, SaaS platforms, remote monitoring solutions, APIs, software integrations, or software development concepts. Candidates who can bridge hardware and manufacturing expertise with software knowledge are especially valuable, but software experience is not required for this position.

A successful Sales Engineer at KIOSK can take an initially broad or incomplete customer requirement and help turn it into a solution that is technically feasible, commercially viable, and executable by the organization.
You will be successful in this role if you can effectively balance customer needs with engineering feasibility, manufacturing capabilities, cost, schedule, and business objectives while serving as a trusted technical partner to both the customer and the KIOSK Sales team.
Compensation Range:
$72,000-80,000.00 base salary plus variable commission. Exempt role.
